Modern exterior, moderate fuel consumption, responsive multimedia
Weak sound insulation, delicate paint, engine lacks dynamics
In March, I bought a 2024 Elantra Comfort straight from the dealership. I mainly drive in the city, occasionally visiting relatives 100 km away. The exterior is impressive, especially the headlights and large front grille — they really catch people’s attention. Fuel consumption shows around 7.8 L/100 km in traffic and 5.5–6 L/100 km on the highway. The Android Auto multimedia responds instantly, and the interface is intuitive.
However, there are some downsides: at speeds over 110 km/h, constant tire and wind noise becomes tiring on trips longer than 200 km. The paint is delicate — two small stones have already left chips on the hood. The engine is lively up to 80 km/h, then struggles, making overtakes something you need to plan ahead. I’m considering a full soundproofing package to make long trips more comfortable.
