I bought a new 2022 Elantra (1.6L, 128 hp, automatic, Active) early last year. Mostly drive it around the city, but a couple of times a month I go to my country house (200 km one way). Fuel economy is great: around 7.5 L/100 km in traffic, 5.5–6 L on the highway. The design looks fresh, especially in profile — people often ask what model it is. The multimedia with CarPlay is very responsive, the menu is intuitive, and the screen is bright.

There are downsides: above 110 km/h, there’s a lot of tire and wind noise, which is annoying. The paint on the hood is delicate — I’ve already touched up chips twice. In cold weather, the cabin takes about 10–12 minutes to warm up properly. Great for city and short trips, but for highway driving I’d suggest adding soundproofing.
