Economical engine, spacious trunk, long warranty period
Weak sound insulation, stiff suspension, slow acceleration
Bought a 2020 Ceed (1.4L, 140 hp, automatic, Comfort) with 10,000 km in 2021 from a friend. I drive it in the city and to the countryside — sometimes making trips of 300–400 km at a time. Fuel consumption stays around 7 L/100 km in the city and about 5.5 L/100 km on the highway. The 395-liter trunk is truly spacious: stroller, bags, tools fit with no issues. The seven-year warranty is reassuring — no major problems, just regular oil and filter changes.
However, above 110 km/h, tire and wind noise becomes tiring. The suspension is rather stiff: over speed bumps and uneven roads the car bounces. Overtaking requires patience: the engine only wakes up after 2,500 rpm and won’t accelerate spontaneously. Good for smooth family driving, but dynamic driving fans should look at the turbo version.
