Bought a brand new 2020 Ceed (1.0L, 120 hp, manual, Classic) in spring 2020. Mostly drive in the city for work and meetings, with a couple of highway trips per month. LED headlights are excellent — night visibility is great. Servicing is inexpensive, done around every 11,000 km.

However, the paint on the hood is very thin: two stone chips appeared within six months, had to touch them up myself. The engine hesitates when overtaking after 100 km/h, needing to rev up to 3,000 rpm. At speeds over 120 km/h, tire and wind noise are quite noticeable. Perfect for calm city and suburban driving, but for long trips it’s worth budgeting for soundproofing and a stronger engine.
