Stylish looks, spacious trunk, roomy cabin, affordable maintenance, precise brakes, good handling, excellent value for money
Low ground clearance, weak sound insulation, cheap interior materials
This is my third car, and I’m genuinely happy with it – a real workhorse. Manual gearbox, 1.6 petrol engine. A great choice for those looking for an affordable yet reliable vehicle. The long body makes parking in tight spots a bit tricky, so if parking isn’t your strength, a hatchback might be better. Fuel consumption is decent – about 6.5–7 L/100 km on the highway and 9–10 L in the city. The max speed I’ve pushed it to is around 190 km/h, but it’s most comfortable at 120–130 km/h. The engine isn’t the most powerful, and a sixth gear would make highway driving smoother. In the city, it’s nimble and overtakes well in third gear. The trunk is a gem – huge, and with the rear seats folded, you can carry anything, even sleep inside during trips. Driver’s seat and steering wheel are adjustable, but the seatback tilt wheel is stiff. Rear windows are manual, which is a letdown, but the multimedia system is good, steering wheel controls are handy, and cruise control is a nice bonus (though the button isn’t always responsive). Interior materials wear quickly, sound insulation is weak, and clearance requires caution. Brakes are sharp. After 50,000 km, I replaced the clutch, a few sensors, and some suspension parts. Known gearbox bearing noise at high mileage is present. Overall, a reliable, economical, and comfortable choice for city driving and trips.
