I bought a 1.6L automatic for daily city driving. The LED headlights are amazing — driving at night feels like being in a stadium. The dashboard and controls are conveniently placed — I got used to them in just a couple of days. However, the engine becomes sluggish after 100 km/h: overtaking a truck feels like a mini adventure. On small bumps, the rear plastic creaks, especially when the temperature drops — extremely annoying. The side mirrors are small, so I often have to use the camera. Overall, great for city life, but a few flaws spoil the overall impression.

Since 2022, I’ve been driving an Elantra Style (2.0L, 150 hp, automatic) for work and family trips. The trunk is fantastic — fits a stroller, shopping bags, and tools with no problem. The cabin is dark but cozy, and the kids have plenty of space in the back. The suspension is genuinely durable — it absorbs potholes but can feel stiff on broken asphalt, which can tire your back. The engine is lively up to 90 km/h, but then slows down, making overtakes require a strong push. The climate control has twice changed settings on its own, fixed only by turning it off and back on. No major breakdowns, only scheduled servicing. Good for work and family, though I’d like a bit more performance and ride smoothness. Solid 8/10

I bought a new 2022 Elantra (1.6L, 128 hp, automatic, Active) early last year. Mostly drive it around the city, but a couple of times a month I go to my country house (200 km one way). Fuel economy is great: around 7.5 L/100 km in traffic, 5.5–6 L on the highway. The design looks fresh, especially in profile — people often ask what model it is. The multimedia with CarPlay is very responsive, the menu is intuitive, and the screen is bright. There are downsides: above 110 km/h, there’s a lot of tire and wind noise, which is annoying. The paint on the hood is delicate — I’ve already touched up chips twice. In cold weather, the cabin takes about 10–12 minutes to warm up properly. Great for city and short trips, but for highway driving I’d suggest adding soundproofing.
