fuel-efficient, cheap to maintain, always starts
rattles, poor sound insulation, door sills rust
I’ve got a 2013 Accent, bought it for work commutes. 1.6 engine, automatic, pulls decently—not a rocket, but gets the job done. Fuel economy is 7-8 liters per 100 km, more if you floor it. I drive every day, no issues at all, starts like a charm even in the cold.
The interior’s basic, plastic’s hard, but I don’t care, didn’t buy it to show off. Suspension’s stiff, rattles on bumps, but I’m used to it. Started rusting at the sills, needs painting, but I’m too lazy for now.
All in all, a solid car, drives, doesn’t break down, doesn’t burn oil. For its age, it’s great, works for me.
