Spacious cabin, futuristic design, quick acceleration, efficient consumption
Weak soundproofing, reduced range in winter, inconvenient wireless charging spot
I got a 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5, electric, 73 kWh battery, 217 hp, all-wheel drive, Premium trim. The design is awesome — looks like a spaceship and turns heads everywhere. I mostly drive in the city, sometimes on the highway. Driving impressions are great, it accelerates like a rocket, especially in sport mode, really pushes you into the seat. The cabin is huge, plenty of rear space, and the trunk easily fits a stroller and bags. Multimedia is fine, but sometimes lags for a couple of seconds when connecting via Bluetooth. In summer, consumption is around 11 kWh/100 km with AC, range close to 400 km. In winter, range drops to about 250–270 km in freezing weather, with consumption near 20 kWh. Soundproofing is weak — above 100 km/h you hear wind noise. Wireless charging spot is awkward — the phone slides off because of the angle. No breakdowns so far, though I’ve heard of battery issues. I’ve done one service — changed reducer oil, cost was low. Warranty works fine, dealer had no issues. Overall, great for city and short trips; if you like tech, style, and efficiency, go for it, but expect more charging in winter.
