Beyond the usual exterior styling elements and additional interior equipment, the Japanese catalog features solutions that are rarely found even among premium-class vehicles. Among them are mechanical anti-theft devices and an accessory for neutralizing odors in the cabin.

New Lexus ES Production Scheme
For Lexus, the new ES is significant not merely as another update to the business sedan. The model will be the brand's first vehicle to be manufactured simultaneously in Japan and China. Production in Shanghai is scheduled to start in 2027. This plant will become one of the few automotive facilities in China that is fully owned by a foreign company without a local partner.
The Japanese plant in Fukuoka will continue to produce the ES for a number of export markets, including the United States. Previously, some Lexus ES vehicles for the American market were produced in Georgetown, Kentucky; however, that facility will now focus on more in-demand models such as the Toyota Camry and RAV4. Due to changes in logistics, the price of the sedan on some markets may increase.

Versions and Equipment
On the European market, the new Lexus ES is offered with a hybrid powertrain as well as in fully electric versions ES 350e and ES 500e. The base price of the hybrid version in the Czech Republic is approximately 60,000 euros, while the electric variants approach the 80,000 euro mark. Depending on the configuration, buyers can access larger alloy wheels, special body colors, and extended warranty programs.

In Japan, the list of optional equipment is significantly broader. The sedan is offered with an aerodynamic kit including a front splitter, sill covers, and rear bumper elements. Also available are decorative aerodynamic overlays on the rear body pillars and a package from the Modellista division, which can be supplemented with forged 21-inch wheels.

Interior Accessories
Part of the options is directed at increasing convenience in everyday operation. The catalog includes illuminated door sill plates, decorative lighting for the cupholder area with color choice, trunk trim elements, and individual floor mats. For second-row passengers, a Comfort package is available with additional accessories for placing items and enhancing comfort on the road.
Separately offered are tablet mounts, organizers installed on the front seat backs, and additional storage systems. These solutions are oriented primarily toward vehicles used for regular long-distance trips or transporting rear-row passengers.

Anti-Theft Protection and Odor Neutralization
The most unusual part of the Japanese catalog relates to vehicle protection. Owners have access to a mechanical wheel lock that installs independently and prevents movement of the vehicle. Another option is an additional steering wheel lock. Such devices do not replace the standard electronic protection but can be used as a visible additional barrier against theft.

Another unusual option is a footrest with a built-in deodorizing element. It is intended to reduce unpleasant odors in the cabin and can be useful during long trips, especially when the vehicle is used by multiple passengers.
Thus, Lexus expands the personalization options for the new ES not only through design and technical equipment. The factory catalog includes solutions for comfort, space organization, vehicle protection, and maintaining freshness in the cabin.
