Got the 2024 Niro Hybrid automatic for city driving and business trips. In two months, racked up 12,000 km — it consistently saves fuel, around 5.2 L/100 km in the city. The LED headlights illuminate the road perfectly after dark. The cabin is packed with tech: adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, and emergency braking work accurately, providing confidence. However, acceleration is sluggish, and after 100 km/h the engine gets loud, making overtakes require careful timing. At highway speeds, tire and wind noise are quite noticeable. The ground clearance is low — scraped the underbody on a curb twice, so I’m more cautious now. Overall, the Niro is an excellent city hybrid, but for dynamic driving or rough roads, these limitations should be considered.

Got the 2024 Niro PHEV plug-in hybrid for work and family trips. Quickly racked up 25,000 km, driving around the region daily. Not a single issue, just routine oil and filter changes, and the seven-year warranty is reassuring. The 10.3-inch multimedia screen works quickly with CarPlay, with a responsive and clear interface. In warm weather, the electric range reaches 50–55 km — perfect for short city trips. The suspension is firm, and the cabin shakes on potholes, especially on dirt roads. The hood paint is thin — already two chips from small gravel. The climate control panel is combined with audio buttons, so I often hit the wrong control and get distracted. Despite minor flaws, the Niro is an excellent mix of efficiency and practicality.

Bought a new 2024 Kia Niro Hybrid (1.6L, 139 hp, automatic, EX) this spring. Mostly drive in the city, with a couple of highway trips up to 200 km. Fuel economy is excellent — around 5 L/100 km in the city and 4.5–5 L/100 km on the highway if you don’t push it. Looks fresh, with a big grille and narrow headlights that really stand out. Inside, it’s spacious — two kids in car seats fit easily, and the trunk holds a stroller and weekend bags with no issue. Maneuverability in the city is great thanks to the rear camera and sensors, making parking a pleasure. But the engine struggles under full throttle; high-speed overtakes take time and get noisy. Highway sound insulation could be better — at 120+ km/h, tire hum and wind noise are noticeable. A faint creak from the rear shelf light appeared a couple of times, but nothing serious. For city driving and fuel savings, the Niro is excellent, but fast long trips require patience.
